940 ACRES OF SCENIC, WOODED TEXAS HILL COUNTRY ON LAKE BUCHANAN
AND A WHOLE NEW WORLD TO DISCOVER!

"Where the road ends, the adventure begins!"

Canyon of the Eagles - A Calibre Resort is, literally, at the "end of the road," Ranch Road 2341 to be exact. Our gate welcomes you to experience all of the experiential and educational programs and features available.

The park represents the best the Hill Country has to offer. A rugged cedar, persimmon, and oak covered ridge drops down to more manageable terrain, reaching vista bluffs overlooking the sandy beaches and the lake.

Approximately 820 acres is in a wilderness perserve that can be enjoyed on a complete trail network. The managed habitat for the Black-capped Vireo, Golden-cheeked Warbler and, of course, the Bald Eagle has certain restrictions during different seasons.

Eagle Eye Observatory - Operated by the Austin Astronomical Society - Escape to the stars with the help of Eagle Eye's high-tech telescopes. The 16-inch Ealing "Educator" Cassegrain Telescope offers research-quality views of the moon and distant stars, while the 12.5-inch Newtonian telescope offers a vibrant eye on the night sky.  Open on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday nights (weather permitting).

The balance of the park offers the primary trails, day use area, beach and park store, camping, and lodge and The Overlook Restaurant dining facilities.  All of our rooms feature a Texas porch setting, and our rates range from $109.00 to $129.00 per night depending on occupancy, time of year, etc. Premium weekends require a minimum of 2 nights stay. We are not able to guarantee a specific room request, but will always do our best to accomodate your request.
