 The charm of this course
draws upon the natural beauty of the Hill Country, with its native oak and elm trees and
elevated greens that offer spectacular views of the surrounding area. Enjoy the
beauty, but don't be fooled by it! The signature par 3, number 12 hole measures 179 yards
from the back tees and plays across an undulating stretch of Lake LBJ - one misplaced shot
might sink an entire round!

Trent Jones, Sr.'s final contribution to Horseshoe Bay Resort's golf is Applerock.
This course has been open since 1985, and like Ram Rock, has been host to the Texas State
Open and many other USGA events, as well as local professional tournaments. Golf
Digest named Applerock the Best New Resort Course in America, and the par 3,
signature12th hole has been ranked among the most scenic in the state more than once!
Selected as the
"Best Resort Course" in 1986 by Golf Digest, it is the most
breathtaking of the three. The course begins at the highest point on the property
with panoramic views of the rolling hills and Lake LBJ in the background. Perhaps
the most dramatic holes are the back to back par five 10th and 11th holes which dive from
the top of the Caprock down to the blue shores of Lake LBJ.
